Meet the Maker

The Story Behind Tailored by Heart

My introduction to jewellery came through my mother's jewellery business. While working full-time as a mechanical engineer and raising young children, I stepped in to help her – and what started as a hobby became a passion I never expected.

I soon realised that engineering and fine jewellery ask for the same things: precision, structural thinking and an eye for detail. Technical, but still beautiful – that became my approach to everything.

Today, from our workshop in Pretoria, our team has crafted more than 1,200 custom pieces over 10+ years – engagement rings, redesigned heirlooms and one-of-a-kind keepsakes, each made through a personal, never-rushed design process.
